Research & Development Collaboration: Behavioural and Social Science
The Theory
The CSN model is a holistic response to the theory that protracted racial and or socioeconomic inequality, deprivation and injustice can inform varying degrees of trauma conditioned responses; behavioural conditioning that heightens one’s vulnerability to the predictable irrational mistakes established by Richard Thaler—Professor of Behavioural Science & Economics and co-author of Nudge theory. When considered alongside the impact of poverty on cognitive impairment, past work from Professor of Computation & Behavioural Science, Sendhil Mullainathan, these mistakes become understandable, perhaps even inevitable and, without appropriate intervention, almost certain to end in failure. With the research of Professor Philip Zimbardo evidencing the extent to which external forces can impel irrational, uncharacteristic behaviour and the need to address environmental influences, where, when and how we provide support become equally paramount to ‘choice’.
Support to overcome pervasive racial and or socioeconomic hardship long-term must:
-
Correct contributory / underlying conditions and or situational forces;
-
Counteract the practical or material repercussions of scarcity; and
-
Address and or mitigate psychological injury and or cognitive impairment.
R&D Collaboration Invitation
EDEN City Outreach is inviting interest in exploring opportunities to collaborate with academics and research teams in the disciplines of social and behavioural science, including but not limited to: behavioural economics, social and cultural anthropology, psychology, psychiatry, neuroscience and political science.
R&D Overview:
-
Research, test and develop the EDEN City Outreach theory, empirically qualifying and quantifying the impact of substantive racial and or socioeconomic trauma on psychological and cognitive abilities;
-
Explore the potential for behavioural insights in conjunction with CSN disruptive technology to facilitate socioeconomic change and a transformative culture;
-
mitigate the natural propensity for predictable irrational mistakes, without undermining freedom of choice
-
-
Develop and or incorporate simple, effective tools, aids and resources, to be administered via CSN Communal social support solutions, to inform healthy behavioural change and facilitate psychological wellbeing;
-
Participate in the development of the CSN digital platform prototype and proof of concept pilot.
Please contact us to discuss this or other opportunities to collaborate, including:
